Theft charges: Cody Rhome, 20, of 52 Route 21 Mobile Home Park, Carmichaels, was charged by Cumberland Township police with theft and receiving stolen property for an incident that happened at the Carmichaels Shop ‘n Save Nov. 7. Police said a woman left her wallet in a cart that she put in the outdoor cart return that afternoon. Police said Rhome, who was employed at Shop ‘n Save, was collecting carts when he allegedly found the wallet and took $120 in cash from it, according to security surveillance footage. When the woman came back to get her wallet, she asked if Rhome had seen it, according to the criminal complaint. He allegedly told her no, but when she went inside the store, police said he put the wallet back on the ground near the carts, without returning the money, pretended to find the wallet for her, and returned it.

Charged after crash: Scott Pecjak, 48, of 276 Fourth St., Crucible, was charged by Cumberland Township police with simple assault, harassment and two traffic-related summary offenses following a crash about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the intersection of First Street and Crucible Road in Crucible. Police said Pecjak was driving while intoxicated when his vehicle struck a wooden fence. Police said they found the vehicle with the key broken off and stuck in the ignition. The passenger, Robin Conklin, told police Pecjak was drinking before the crash and that he had punched her in the face, according to the criminal complaint.

Harassment charges: Joshua Andrew Bedilion, 30, of 120 Liberty Ave., Waynesburg, was charged by Waynesburg police with two counts of harassment, two counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after he allegedly threw rocks at a residence on South Richhill Street in Waynesburg Sunday evening. Police said at two different times that night, Bedilion allegedly screamed threats and threw rocks at the home of Charles Rick. Police said they believed Bedilion to be intoxicated.
