Theft alleged: State police said a wallet containing $600 was stolen from a 64-year-old man after a woman knocked on his door on Cadwallader Street and asked to use his cellphone Tuesday. The woman came inside, followed by another woman and man, all three of whom fled in a gray Saturn Ion after the victim attempted to detain the women.
Business cited: Big Fella’s Pizza Deli & Wing Co., 45 E. Pike St., has been cited by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for selling or furnishing alcohol to minors, which allegedly took place Sept. 27, state police announced Wednesday.
Fraud alleged: Yee Hashamba Lamarkis, 29, who is homeless, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with forgery, illegal access device use, theft, tampering with records, identity theft and resisting arrest, court records show. Police said an officer used a Taser to subdue Lamarkis during a foot chase after he allegedly attempted to get $1,800 from a Citizens Bank branch, 501 Fallowfield Ave., while using a fake name about 3 p.m. Tuesday. He was placed in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Charged in wreck: Jonathon Glenn Wicks, 32, of 28 Welcome St., Fredericktown, is charged by state police with accident involving personal injury, driving without a license, duty to give information and failure to provide immediate notice of an accident to police, court records show. Police accuse Wicks of driving a vehicle that struck the side of a parked vehicle, injuring Christina Lasko while she was retrieving items from the car about 8:30 p.m. Nov. 18 at 42 Stadium Road. Police filed the charges Tuesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Burglary alleged: Ashley Brye Pierson, 27, who last resided on Second Street in Vestaburg, is charged by township police with burglary, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia over allegations she broke into her former home after being evicted and stole a kitchen stove about 10:30 a.m. Oct. 6, court records show. State police also charged Pierson with theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud over allegations she stole a benefits card from a neighbor and used it to withdraw $307 from the victim’s account Oct. 12 at Northwest Savings Bank, 520 Front St., Fredericktown, court records show. The charges were filed Tuesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Woman charged: Amy Lynn Warzinski, 38, of 319 Brindlewood Court, North Strabane Township, is charged by local police with simple assault and harassment over allegations she struck Chad Gabersek in his right eye about 11 p.m. Tuesday in her residence, court records show. She is free on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Burglary alleged: Aaron M. Evers, 32, of Monongahela, is charged by state police with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he broke into a rental garage at 185 Moore Road and stole items between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 10, police said. Police filed the charges Tuesday before District Judge Ethan Ward.
