Man fatally shot in Cecil home Friday identified
A man shot and killed inside a Cecil Township home Friday was identified Sunday by Washington County Coroner Tim Warco.
Nathaniel Kevin Gardner, 52, of Washington, was the man who was shot at a home at 128 Adams St., McDonald, shortly after 6 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from Warco.
Gardner was apparently accompanied by two people when he came to the house, allegedly to buy marijuana, according to Cecil Township police Chief Shawn Bukovinsky. Gardner was apparently acquainted with the homeowner and had previously had an altercation with him, Bukovinsky said.
Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone confirmed that 53 year-old David William Murray, identified in published reports as a resident at 128 Adams St., has been charged with a felony count of possession with intent to deliver and misdemeanor counts of possession and possessing drug paraphernalia.
The shooting remains under investigation by the Cecil Township Police Department.
