WAYNESBURG – A Greensboro man was found not guilty by a Greene County jury of simple assault stemming from a domestic dispute last November in his home at Evergreene Mobile Home Park.

James Russell Gee, 42, of 7 Evergreen Mobile Home Park, was accused of pushing a woman to the ground, pulling her hair and punching her in the face Nov. 8. State police were called to the home at 3:45 a.m. to a report of a domestic dispute.

The jury acquitted Gee of the charge during his Sept. 27 trial. Greene County Judge Lou Dayich, ruling on the summary offense of harassment, also found Gee not guilty, noting actions cited in the harassment charge were “nearly identical” to those included in the charge for simple assault.
