DERRY (AP) – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle on a busy western Pennsylvania highway.

State police say the incident happened at the intersection of U.S. Route 22 and state Route 982 in Derry Township about 7:20 p.m. Sunday.

Forty-two-year-old Charlotte Anderson was reportedly crossing Route 22 near the intersection when she was struck.

Police haven’t released any information about the driver of the vehicle, or whether that person may face any citations or criminal charges.

The Westmoreland County coroner says Anderson was from the township.

An autopsy was planned Monday but results, including toxicology tests, aren’t expected for several weeks.
