Fire damages Franklin Township home
A Monday night fire caused minor damage to a Franklin Township home that was undergoing renovations, Waynesburg-Franklin fire Chief Jeff Marshall said.
Firefighters were dispatched to 2445 Smith Creek Road shortly before 7 p.m., but were able to quickly contain the blaze, Marshall said.
Three people in the home escaped uninjured, Marshall said.
Marshall said the cause of the fire appears to be caused by electrical issues, and investigators believe it was accidental.
Waynesburg-Franklin firefighters were on scene for about 45 minutes and assisted by Jefferson Township volunteer firefighters.
