Man wanted in August shooting in jail in Louisiana

The 21-year-old McKeesport man charged with homicide in a shooting last month in Allegheny County was taken into custody in Louisiana and placed in the Lafayette Parish Correction Center on Friday.

Joshua Wardlaw was also charged by Allegheny County police with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment in the Aug. 6 shooting in the parking lot of Saloon 136, Route 136, Forward Township.

He is accused of shooting Johnathan Minnie of Belle Vernon multiple times. Minnie was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital, where he later died. Wardlaw is also accused of shooting two 27-year-old women including one who told police she was with Minnie. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
