Grove Road bridge construction meeting set
A pre-construction meeting to view construction plans for the Grove Road bridge, spanning North Fork Cross Creek in Cross Creek Township, will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Cross Creek Township municipal buiding, 28 Clark Ave., Avella.
A presentation will be given by the developer for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners, at the start of the meeting. Project representatives from Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners and PennDOT will be available to discuss the project with the public, public officials, and emergency service providers.
This bridge is referred to as JV-538 out of the 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is a public-private partnership between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners, under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years. The P3 approach will allow PennDOT to replace the bridges more quickly while achieving significant savings and minimizing impact on motorists.
