Drug, disorderly charges: Spencer Dean Haynes, 25, of Buffalo, Wyo., was charged this week by California police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and disorderly conduct stemming from a March 28 traffic stop on Third Street. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Man assaulted: Canonsburg police are investigating the assault Tuesday night of Brandon Nicotra, 21, of Canonsburg. Nicotra told police that he was jumped by two men outside a convenience store on Euclid Avenue and robbed of $70. Nicotra was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of a head injury.

Window broken: Nicole Turney, 249 E. College St., told Canonsburg police that a large window at her home was broken Tuesday. Charges are pending, police said.

Quick change scam: An employee of Shop ‘n Save, 617 W. Pike St., was conned out of $150 Tuesday during a quick change scheme, Canonsburg police said.

Rifle stolen: Susan Wright, 529 McGovern Road, told Chartiers police March 29 that a semiautomatic rifle was stolen from her home.

Driver injured: Robert Cooper, 82, of Old Ridge Road, Hickory, was injured March 29 when his southbound vehicle went off Henderson Avenue near Saratoga Drive, hit a tree, went over an embankment and came to rest in a field, Chartiers police said. He was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.

One hurt: Joshua Gillespie, 19, of Cleveland, Ohio, was injured in a two-vehicle crash just before 10 a.m. Saturday at the Racetrack Road off-ramp from Interstate 79 south, state police said. A car driven by Robert Throckmorton Jr., 48, of McMurray, was exiting at the off-ramp when Gillespie’s vehicle, which was traveling south in the left lane, abruptly swerved into the far right lane and attempted to pass Throckmorton’s vehicle, striking it. Gillespie was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Throckmorton and three passengers were not injured.

Card used: Christopher Carroll of Washington told Washington police Tuesday that his credit card information was used to make purchases at The Meadows Casino and several gas stations without his permission.

Apartment entered: Rebecca Garbart, 351 Locust Ave., told Washington police Tuesday that a television, shower curtain, toiletries, hair dryer and rug were stolen from her apartment.

Theft arrest: Sandra Faye Leeper, 57, of 674-A Old National Pike. Brownsville, was arrested Tuesday by West Brownsville police on a felony charge of retail theft and defiant trespass after she allegedly stole household items from Walmart. She had been banned from the store. Leeper was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released.
