Investigators with the state attorney general’s insurance fraud section filed charges against two more people accused of committing the crime in Washington County.

John Kostas Bourbakis, 34, of Weirton, W.Va., and Kerrie Gene Gill Jr., 57, of Conti Road, Brownsville, are among four in the county and 28 across the state charged recently with insurance fraud.

Bourbakis is accused of making a fraudulent claim and stating that he lived at a Langeloth home that had been damaged by fire. Investigators determined the property was being rented at the time of the fire by another family. He was arraigned last week before District Judge Gary Havelka and released.

Gill allegedly added collision and comprehensive coverage to his automobile coverage and then made a claim that his vehicle had been damaged in a hit-and-un crash. An investigator determined the damage was done to the vehicle before Gill added the coverage to his policy. The charges were filed last week at the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
