Monessen man charged with possession of fentanyl-laced heroin
MONESSEN – A Monessen man was charged Friday with possessing a large amount of fentanyl-laced heroin following a federal-led search of his home a day earlier.
Monessen police charged Gregory Davis, 26, of 1229 Walnut Ave., with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession and tampering with evidence, court records show.
Officers surrounded the home, and some of them forced their way inside about 2:40 p.m., only to find Davis walking out the back door and onto a porch, police allege in the affidavit. Davis also was seen throwing something off of the porch, later identified as 10 bricks of the drugs labeled as hot sauce, police said.
Three other bricks of “hot sauce” were found in a filing cabinet in the kitchen, the record claims.
Davis was sent to Westmoreland County Jail on $100,000 bond set by District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr.
