WAYNESBURG – Eric Stull shook while receiving a life sentence Tuesday for raping and molesting a young girl at least 34 times over a decade, beginning when the girl was a toddler.

“I should die for this,” he said. “I wish I could.”

Stull, 49, of Morgan Township, was sentenced Tuesday to 340 years to 680 years in state prison by Greene County Judge Lou Dayich.

“I take responsibility and I am sorry,” Stull told the court.

Stull was arrested April 29, 2016 after state police found 35 videos showing Stull molesting and raping the young girl between May 2006 and last April. Investigators raided his home and found evidence Stull was producing child pornography in his home and sharing some of the videos on the internet.

Stull pleaded guilty in October to 34 felony counts each of child rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child and unlawful contact with a child, along with another 30 counts of corruption of minors.

The girl’s mother testified Stull will never be forgiven by her or her daughter, whom she described as “a beautiful child who only wanted to be loved and protected.”

“He hurt my baby for his own pleasure,” she said.

The mother said while her daughter “will never get over this,” the girl is doing well in school and “sleeps better at night.”

“She is and always will be loved,” the mother said. “She knows that she is safe and that no one will ever hurt her again.”

Stull still faces federal charges in addition to the state sentence he received Tuesday. In June, a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh handed up a 41-count indictment against Stull on charges of production, distribution and possession of material depicting the sexual exploitation of a minor.

His federal case had been pending his state sentencing, and he will now have to either plea or go to trial, according to Greene County District Attorney’s office.

Dayich determined in March Stull was a sexually violent predator. Stull was transported to SCI-Pittsburgh to begin his sentence, and he will also have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
