Liberty Bridge Tunnels closure

The Liberty Bridge and inbound Liberty Tunnel in Pittsburgh will close Saturday night through Monday morning, weather permitting.

The inbound tunnel and the Liberty Bridge in both directions will close to traffic from 7 p.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Monday morning. Crews will conduct deck reconstruction, parapet removal, barrier resetting and other construction activities.

There also will be single-lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday on the inbound side. There will outbound single-lane restrictions from two hours after the end of the Eric Church concert until noon on Saturday.

The outbound Liberty Tunnel and PJ McArdle Roadway will remain open the entire weekend. If the work is completed early, the bridge and inbound tunnel will be reopened.

A detour will be in place.
