Man jailed: Matthew James Jefferson, 32, of 405 Third St., Marianna, is charged by state police with making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct over allegations he threatened to kill his girlfriend, Shequita Byrant during an argument in their home about 9:30 p.m. Monday. Jefferson is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Man jailed: James Donaldson, 28, of 105 Linden Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with theft, theft from a motor vehicle, drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police said an officer seized from Donaldson a stolen handgun, a bag of marijuana and 18 stamp bags of heroin after receiving a call about a man stealing a gun from a pickup truck about 2:40 p.m. Monday at 225 Linden Ave. Donaldson is in Westmoreland County jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Warrant signed: Shane Kovatch, 31, of 353 Pennsylvania Ave., North Charleroi, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property over accusations he stole a cellphone worth $800 from Eugene Salvino April 6 in the 600 block of Knox Avenue, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday from Kovatch’s arrest.
Woman jailed: Melissa Sue Reece, 38, of 306 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, is charged by city police with felony retail theft over allegations she stole a pack of cigarettes from a Sheetz, 111 E. Main St., about 11 a.m. Monday. She is in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Bicycles stolen: Jeremy Alan Marish, 26, of 312 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by township police with two counts each of theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. He is accused of stealing two bicycles valued at $165 late last year from a boy who lives in the 1,000 block of Tyrol Boulevard. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Tuesday.
Thefts reported: An employee of the Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., told Washington police Monday that donated items were stolen from the donation box. The driver of a silver Jeep was seen on surveillance pulling up to the donation box on three occasions Sunday and stealing items. A red sport utility vehicle also was spotted pulling up to the box. Children got out of that vehicle and were seen stealing donated items, police said.
Televisions stolen: Joan Creely of Broad Street told Washington police Monday that two television sets and a red vase containing loose change were stolen in a burglary of her home. She told police that when she returned home Monday afternoon, a window was open in her residence.
