Eighty Four man dies in shooting
An Eighty Four man died early Saturday after being shot at a residence in Kennedy Township, Allegheny County.
Timothy B. Maxon Jr., 50, was shot at least once about 11 p.m. Friday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office reported. He died at an area hospital about three hours later.
Deon Wells, of Pittsburgh, was arrested and charged with criminal homicide. He was in Allegheny County jail awaiting arraignment.
Kennedy police and emergency medical personnel were dispatched to a home on Kenridge Drive about 11:15 and found Maxon wounded and Wells with his hands raised over his head, said the county Police Homicide Unit, which also responded.
County detectives determined the two men got into an altercation and Wells shot Maxon.
County police are investigating.
