Allegheny County police investigating 6-year-old shot near Pittsburgh

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. (AP) — Allegheny County police were investigating after a 6-year-old boy was shot at a mobile home near Pittsburgh.

Police Lt. Andrew Schurman says police were still trying to determine how the boy was shot about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Wet Mifflin. But Schurman says the boy was not shot by an intruder.

The boy was being treated at a hospital, but his condition, whereabouts and identity were not immediately released by police.
