A bridge along Garards Fort Road that spans Coal Lick Run in Franklin Township that has been under construction through the state’s rapid bridge replacement project fully reopened to traffic Tuesday, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.

Construction began in late June and was completed through the private-public partnership between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners.

The new bridge is longer and wider than the one it replaced and is designed with a 100-year lifespan.
