BURGETTSTOWN – A man was flown by helicopter to an area hospital Sunday night with injuries he suffered when the motorcycle he was operating collided with a car in Burgettstown.

A female passenger on the motorcycle was being evaluated for a possible broken leg following the 8:30 p.m. accident in the 1200 block of Main Street near a BP service station, a Washington County 911 supervisor said.

No one else was injured in the accident, he said.

The operator of the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, the supervisor said. Initial reports indicated the man was unconscious at the scene. Additional information was not immediately available Sunday night.
