Charged in crash: Nicole R. Smith, 29, of Carmichaels, faces four traffic summary citations following a crash early Monday morning near a residence at 2131 Garards Fort Road. State police said Smith failed to negotiate a curve in the road and drove into a ditch before striking a fencepost. Police said Smith then drove through the fence and into a field, where her Jeep struck another fence. Police said Smith was not injured and left the scene without notifying police of the crash.

Not hurt in accident: State police said a Waynesburg man was not injured in a Tuesday evening crash on Route 21 near Gwynn Road. Police said Tyler J. Black, 26, was driving west when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road, spun his car, struck a wire fence and fencepost and came to rest in a field. Police said the bald tires on Black’s car contributed to the crash.
