A Canonsburg woman was arrested by borough police on drug charges after they served a search warrant at her residence and said they found even more suspected drugs Thursday afternoon.

Kristina Metz, 28, of 501 Euclid Ave., is charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver crack.

Chief Al Coghill said police have been getting a lot of complaints about the amount of traffic coming and going from her home. He said police placed the residence under surveillance and saw her involved in a suspected drug transaction outside her home. Police said they learned she had sold a rock of suspected crack for $40, and an informant told them he had purchased crack from her at her home earlier this month.

Metz faces additional charges for the suspected crack and painkillers allegedly found in her home during the search.

Metz is no stranger to Canonsburg police and Coghill. He arrested her six years ago for selling crack in the borough. Metz pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver and was sentenced to 23 months in jail.

Metz was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County jail after posting $25,000 bond. She is scheduled for a Sept. 20 preliminary hearing before Mark.
