Two arrested: Angelena Marie Poland, 25, and Pablo Junior Nevel, 35, both of 42 Monarch St., Canton Township, were arrested Saturday afternoon by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after they allegedly assaulted each other at their home. Nevel told police he got into an argument with Poland, who he said is his girlfriend. She allegedly pushed him against a window and a pane of glass broke, cutting him. Poland told police he started grabbing and pushing her. Both were arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and each placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Driver flees: State police are investigating a crash that happened about 12:13 a.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Beallsville Road, West Bethlehem. The vehicle struck a ditch and trees before the driver drove off from the scene. Police did not give a description of the vehicle involved in the crash.
