Construction to begin on bridges

Caonstruction work is expected to begin the week of Sept. 11 on two Washington County bridges as part of Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.

Reconstruction of the Pike Run Drive bridge, spanning Pike Run in West Pike Run Township, is expected to be complete in late November. During construction, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 481, Route 40 and Daisytown Road.

Construction of the Lone Pine Road bridge, spanning Little Tenmile Creek in Amwell Township, is also expected to be complete in late November. During this time, drivers will be directed to follow a detour along Route 19 (Waynesburg Road), Route 40 and Brush Run Road.
