Driver injured: Christopher Spalla, 30, of 119 W. College St., Canonsburg, was slightly injured when his vehicle hit concrete steps outside 16 Strabane Ave., and flipped on its roof at 2:42 a.m. Sunday, Canonsburg police said. Spalla reportedly was argumentative with police after they helped him out of the vehicle. There also were empty beer cans in the vehicle and Spalla smelled of an alcoholic beverage, police said. Spalla was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. He reportedly refused to submit to a blood alcohol test. Police said they will charge him with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Wheel caps stolen: Edward Manes, 602 Moore Ave., told Canonsburg police Saturday that the caps were stolen from two wheels on the passenger side of his vehicle.

Two charged: Sky T. Desensi, 41, of 16 N. Buffalo Church Road, Washington, and Patricia Rose Vicheck, 29, of 1845 Smith Township Road, Slovan, each were charged Friday by state police with possession of cocaine and paraphernalia stemming from an Aug. 9 traffic stop on White Street at Jefferson Avenue, Canton. Desensi also faces several traffic violations. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Three charged in assault: Devin Raymond Campbell, 21, of 875 Broad St., Washington; Joshua Jamiel Carr, 28, of 368 Hancock St., Washington and Christina R. Morgan, 24, of 1174 Maple Terrace, Washington, were each charged Friday by state police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting two women outside a home at 34 Monarch St., Canton, on Aug. 22. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Warrant obtained: Chartiers police obtained an arrest warrant Friday for Troy Eugene Hauenstein, 54, whose last known address was Claysville, from District Judge David Mark charging him with theft and receiving stolen property. He is accused of stealing large steel plates valued at $300 to $400 from Accudie, 175 S. Country Club Road, on Aug. 1 and selling them as scrap in West Alexander.

Hindering apprehension: Barry Cleve Beggarly Jr., 45, of 118 Main St., Claysville, was charged Friday by Donegal police with hindering apprehension after he allegedly concealed the whereabouts of Ashley Katrina Shuey-Reeger on Aug. 18. Shuey-Reeger was wanted on a bench warrant. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Assault arrest: Richard Geyser, 42, of 20 Fort Cherry Road, McDonald, was arrested early Sunday by Mt. Pleasant police on charges of aggravated assault and harassment. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend inside the garage at his residence. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and released from Washington County Jail after posting $2,500 bond.

Driver injured: Michael Brown Jr., 30, of 800 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was injured Friday night when his car went off East Maiden Street near Lacock Hill and struck an embankment, South Strabane police said. He told police that he had looked away from the road. Brown apparently hit his head on the windshield. He was flown to UPMC, Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

Faces drug charges: Washington police said they will charge Virgnia Smith, 35, who gave two addresses in Washington, with possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. They found her with a bag of unknown pills while she was walking in the city’s West End Sunday. She also reportedly had paraphernalia, including syringes and empty stamp bags of suspected heroin.

Cart stolen: Tracy Morris, 1143 Maple Terrace, told Washington police Friday that her personal shopping cart was stolen from outside her home.
