CANONSBURG

Attempt to use card: Jenna Adams of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Thursday an attempt was made to use her credit card information to make purchases of $2,277.69 and $140.86.

CANTON

Harassment charges: Christopher Russell Dobbin and Steven Eugene Tripp, both of Washington, will be charged by state police with harassment after an incident Thursday at 1271 W. Chestnut St. Dobbin is accused of punching Tripp. Tripp allegedly shoved Dobbin.

NORTH STRABANE

Wrong-way driver: Elena R. Korte, 52, of 3561 Route 40, Washington, will be charged by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol, improperly entering a highway and careless driving after she allegedly went the wrong way from Route 519 while trying to enter Interstate 79 just before 5 p.m. Thursday. She allegedly admitted to police she drank a pint of rum she had in her vehicle.

WASHINGTON

Assault charges: Joshua Edwards, 41, of 102 Woodland Ave., was charged Friday by Washington police with aggravated and simple assault after he allegedly slapped his 27-year-old girlfriend, grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head off a concrete wall during an incident at their home Thursday. She suffered a back injury, police said. Edwards, who was placed in Washington County jail on a bench warrant, will be arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Woman robbed: Melissa Bird, 43, of Washington, told Washington police she was assaulted and robbed about 2:45 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Baird Avenue and Bassett Alley. The robber stole her purse containing prescription medication, her disability card and $50. She described the robber as a dirty white man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with a thin build. He wore sweatpants.

Decorations stolen: Rose Bova of Donnan Avenue told Washington police Wednesday her Star Shower Christmas decoration was stolen from outside her home.

Information used: David Spears of Washington told Washington police Wednesday his debit card information was used to make a $483.50 withdrawal at an automated teller machine in Monroeville. He told police he still had his card.

WEST FINLEY

Assault alleged: Whitney Nicole Farmer, 26, of 455 Broad St., Washington, was arrested Thursday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of hitting Robert Michael Hannen Jr. in the face during a confrontation at 115 Walnut Road, West Finley. She was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
