CANTON
House burglarized: Cathy Pattison of 510 Haney Road, Canton, told state police that her home was burglarized Monday afternoon. She told police her son heard a man’s voice and then saw him run out of the home and flee in an older blue Ford Ranger pickup truck. The man wore a black vest and black hat. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
DONEGAL
Food stamp fraud alleged: Chelsy Lynn Barr, 25, of 8 Meadow Lane, West Alexander, was charged Thursday by the state Office of Inspector General with food stamp fraud. She is accused of failing to report income to her case worker on forms filed in May and October 2015, December 2016 and May 2017. She reportedly received $3,515.23 in Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Payments for which she was not eligible between July 1, 2015, and May 31, 2017. She also allegedly failed to report child-support payments. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
MORRIS
Harassment charge: Ty D. West, 22, of Prosperity, will be charged by state police with harassment after he allegedly grabbed a 25-year-old Prosperity woman during a confrontation Tuesday at 64 Olas Lane, Morris.
Mirror damaged: James Zediker of 312 Grove Road, Morris, told state police Tuesday that vandals damaged the mirror on his vehicle.
NORTH STRABANE
Marijuana charge: Joseph J. Colosimo, 19, of 1101 Woodlawn Drive, Canonsburg, was charged this week by North Strabane police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with the items Saturday while in a parking lot in the 500 block of West McMurray Road.
ROSTRAVER
Man wanted: Allan Jerry Clark, 48, of 313 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by Rostraver Township police with burglary, theft, trespassing, receiving stolen property and loitering and prowling, court records show. Police accuse Clark of breaking into Reed’s Garage, 2113 Route 906, early Nov. 30 and stealing tools valued at $5,500. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Wednesday for Clark’s arrest.
SOUTH STRABANE
Two charged: Grayson Tye Daniels, 32, of 1025 S. Sunset Beach Road, Claysville, and John Cody Stein, 33, of 223 W. College St., Canonsburg, are charged by South Strabane police with felony theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for allegedly stealing the department’s speed sign from Berry Road on Dec. 11. The global-positioning system in the sign tracked it to several locations, including near Stein’s home in Canonsburg and Daniels’ home in Claysville. Police said Daniels gave them back the sign, but it was heavily damaged and will likely have to be replaced. The original cost of the sign was $5,605. Stein was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller Wednesday and released on his own recognizance. Daniels, who is in Washington County Jail on a probation detainer, will be arraigned before Weller Tuesday.
Assault alleged: Michael Curtis Mallory Jr., 30, of 38 Central Ave., Washington, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief for allegedly assaulting a man Aug. 8 in the parking lot of Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
Kit stolen: Lorraine Ellis of 1055 Allison Ave. told Washington police Wednesday that a Pearl percussion kit that had been delivered to her home Monday afternoon was stolen from her porch a few hours later.
Bicycle stolen: Justin Hughes of 835 Donnan Ave. told Washington police Wednesday that his gun-metal gray Rockhopper bicycle valued at $1,000 was stolen from his garage.
Wallet stolen: Rhonda Wylie of Washington told Washington police Wednesday that her 17-year-old daughter’s wallet was stolen. She discovered the theft after she gave a ride to a woman from Jefferson Avenue to Locust Avenue.
Card used: Regina Galati of Washington told Washington police Wednesday that her credit card information was used without her permission to make a $925.20 purchase from Ticketmaster.
