Two men were arrested on drug charges in a Rite Aid parking lot in Charleroi Friday afternoon.
Jared Michael Konsugar, 28, of 419 Mildred Road, Belle Vernon, and Dorian Matthew Harris, 29, of 929 Meadow Ave., Charleroi, are facing charges after Charleroi Regional police responded to the Rite Aid on McKean Avenue for a report of people “shooting up” in the parking lot.
Police said that when they approached a vehicle about 2:15 p.m., they saw Konsugar and Harris putting drug paraphernalia on the floor of the vehicle. Police said they found one hypodermic needle, 69 unused stamp bags of heroin and 11 used bags, along with other items.
Konsugar, who was the driver of the vehicle, was charged with tampering with evidence, possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Harris was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
In a separate case, Harris was charged with theft for allegedly stealing items from the Rite Aid on Fifth Street in Charleroi that same day and returning the items to the Rite Aid on McKean Avenue for $90.
