CUMBERLAND
Hinder apprehension charges: Jessica M. Brewer, 32, of 36 Route 88 Mobile Home Park, Carmichaels, was charged Wednesday with two counts of hindering the apprehension or prosecution of another, one for attempting to harbor or conceal and another for providing false information to law enforcement. Cumberland Township police were looking for Teddy Bryant on an outstanding bench warrant Dec. 13 at Brewer’s township residence and was told by officers to contact then when Bryant returned, according to court documents. Police again tried to serve the warrant Dec. 16, and Brewer told officers Bryant was not there before she let them search the home. Bryant was hiding in a bedroom, police said.
FRANKLIN
Prisoner assault: Corey Bracey, a 38-year-old inmate at SCI-Greene prison in Franklin Township, was charged Thursday with three felony counts each of aggravated assault and assault by a prisoner, along with three misdemeanor simple assault charges, after state police said he bit two correctional officers Oct. 17 when they attempted to give him a new mattress and pillow for his cell.
Contraband charge: Lisa Lanea Avant, 23, of Yeadon, Delaware County, was charged with contraband of a telecommunications device after state police said said she attempted to bring two smartwatches into SCI-Greene prison Dec. 17 when visiting her husband, Koz Hilton. Police said she attempted to conceal the watches in the toe of her boot and threw them in a trash can.
Single-car crash: State police said Zachary M. Juliani, 20, of Carmichaels, was speeding on Route 21 in Franklin Township about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday when he crashed into guardrail and spun across the roadway. Juliana was wearing a seatbelt and not injured in the crash.
