BETHEL PARK (AP) – Authorities have identified a man found dead when police did a welfare check on a Pittsburgh-area woman only to find a “hoarding” situation.

The Allegheny County medical examiner says the dead man was 45-year-old Christopher Baldauf.

Bethel Park police found the man’s body Tuesday evening after someone asked police to check on Baldauf’s mother when he didn’t show up for work.

Police say that woman, whose name hasn’t been released, needed medical care so she was taken to a hospital.

Police don’t believe her son’s death is suspicious, but are investigating to be sure.

They say the house was filled with unspecified items.
