A North Strabane Township man, already in Washington County Jail for allegedly entering his parents’ home without their permission, was arraigned Tuesday on additional charges including burglary and theft.

Lynden John Ross Neill, 27, of 357 Linden Road, was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on two counts each of burglary, conspiracy and criminal mischief and one count each of theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Neill had been in jail on $10,000 bond since his Dec. 29 arrest by township police on charges of criminal trespass and possession of paraphernalia after he allegedly entered his parents’ home without permission.

After Neill was taken into custody, he was interviewed by police and reportedly admitted to his role in various crimes.

His mother had reported to police on Oct. 24 that he had taken her vehicle without permission, telling officers that he does not have a license. Police also received reports of residential burglaries on Hill Church-Houston Road and Route 519. Two necklaces valued at $750 were stolen from the Hill Church-Houston home and $300 in damage was done to a door. Nothing was stolen from the other house, but $200 in damage was done to the door. Neill reportedly told police that he and a woman, whom he identified, committed the burglaries. She is currently in rehabilitation and police have not had an opportunity to talk with her. Neill also admitted having a drug habit, police said.

Neill also reportedly admitted to taking his father’s Husky lawn tractor in November and giving it to a man he owed money for drugs.

A preliminary hearing on all of the charges is set for Feb. 13 before Weller.
