A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to state prison in a robbery at a Canonsburg beer distributor a year ago.

Terrale J. Blow, 42, pleaded guilty to felony charges of robbery and a firearms violation Monday before jury selection was set to begin in his trial before Washington County Judge Michael Lucas.

Lucas sentenced Blow to 5 to 10 years in prison for the Dec. 29, 2015, robbery at Ross Beverage on East Pike Street.

Canonsburg police said Blow threatened a store employee with a handgun then fled in a waiting vehicle with money from the cash resgister.

Lucas also sentenced Blow to five years of probation on the firearms violation.

Blow will be transported to Allegheny County for a hearing on a parole violation. Any sentence he receives there will be served consecutively to the sentence Lucas imposed.
