Several face theft charges
South Strabane Township police charged several people earlier this month in connection with alleged thefts from various businesses.
Sandra F. Leeper, 57, of 674-A Old National Pike, Brownsville, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $140.91 from Walmart, Trinity Point, Dec. 30.
Sondra Leigh Ewing, 25, of 1188 Maple Terrace, Washington, is charged with retail theft and illegal procurement of drugs. Police said she failed to scan items at Walmart Dec. 30. When she was taken into custody, she was found with suspected drugs not prescribed to her, police said.
William Matsko III, 29, of 520 Second St., California, is charged with retail theft after he allegedly put items valued at $413 inside his coat at Kohl’s, Strabane Square, Dec. 27.
Candace M. Miller, 42, and Angel D. Meininger, 33, both of Duquesne, are charged with retail theft and conspiracy. Meininger is accused of stealing items from several businesses, including Dick’s in Strabane Square. Miller is accused of returning the items for gift cards.
Timothy Powell, 29, of Pittsburgh, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $598 from Home Depot, Murtland Avenue, Dec. 30.
Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
