Man arrested for suspected heroin

State police in Belle Vernon arrested a Penn Hills man who was in possession of a large amount of suspected heroin and fentanyl Thursday afternoon.

Police said they pulled over Douglass Holloway, 31, on state Route 43 in Union Township at about 2:30 p.m. During the stop, police initiated a search and found approximately 2,740 stamp bags containing suspected heroin and fentanyl.

Holloway was arrested and placed in Washington County jail, where he was awaiting arraignment Thursday night.
