State police release surveillance photos of suspect in Interstate Foodland robbery
State police have released surveillance photos of a suspect sought for an alleged armed robbery of Interstate Foodland in Canton Township Monday night.
Police said a man entered the grocery store at 7:50 p.m. and approached a 16-year-old cashier. The man wielded a knife and demanded money. The suspect removed money from the cash register and left the store through its front door.
Police said the man was seen on foot heading west on Route 40.
The suspect is white, between 5 feet, 6 inches, and 5 feet, 9 inches, tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was wearing cuffed blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black Carhartt-brand knit hat and black tennis shoes.
