Pedestrian hit on Route 19 in Peters
A section of Route 19 in Peters Township was closed for about 45 minutes Monday morning after an accident involving a pedestrian. Peters Township police said a vehicle hit a man at about 7:45 a.m. in the 2800 block. The man was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital by medical helicopter. The driver of the vehicle was not injured and stayed at the scene. Peters firefighters assisted at the scene. Police said further information was not immediately available.
