C-M formalizes closings of schools
Canon-McMillan officials formally approved closing two elementary schools ahead of the opening of the new Muse Elementary School next school year.
The district school board approved closing the Cecil and First Street elementary schools. Students from all three K-4 schools – expected to number 875 – will attend the $31 million Muse school when it opens in August.
The district held hearings on the closures Oct. 20.
