Washington man sentenced to 6 1/2 to 13 years in prison
Michael Jolly, 55, of North Main Street, Washington, who was convicted of conspiracy, receiving stolen guns and a firearms violation by a jury last fall, was sentenced Friday to spend 6 1/2 to 13 years in a state prison.
Despite sometimes-tearful requests by family members for leniency, Judge Michael Lucas ordered Jolly, who had been free on bond, to report to Washington County Jail Friday and await transport to a penitentiary by sheriff’s deputies.
The judge also is requiring Jolly to pay several thousand dollars’ worth of restitution to Robert Gatling, owner of the firearms that were stolen May 11, 2015, and an insurance company.
