South Franklin woman shot by stray bullet
A South Franklin Township woman was shot in the shoulder Sunday when a stray bullet went through the wall of her home, state police said. Madison R. Petros, 18, of 1005 Deerfield Road, was lying on her bed at 3:30 p.m. when the bullet came through the exterior wall and hit her. She received a minor injury and was treated by emergency medical personnel.
State police are asking anyone with information about the incident or who knows who was shooting a rifle at that time to call them at 724-223-5200. The investigation is continuing.
