Canonsburg constable penalized
The state Ethics Commission issued a final adjudication against Stephen Pitzarella, a Canonsburg constable, for failing to file a statement of financial interest.
Pitzarella was not in compliance with a section of the Public Official and Employee Ethics Act for his failure to file the document for 2015, according to a news release issued Thursday.
The commission levied the maximum civil penalty against Pitzarella at the rate of $25 each day the statement was delinquent, which totaled $250.
Pitzarella must file a complete and accurate statement within 30 days.
