Man arraigned: Brian A. Lowther, 38, of 2 N. Main St., Greensburg, is charged by borough police with flight to avoid apprehension and criminal mischief over allegations he ran from police when an officer attempted to serve him with a warrant from Westmoreland County about 11:10 a.m. June 25, court records show. Lowther was caught during a foot chase that led an officer to injure his leg on a fence, police said. District Judge Larry Hopkins set bond Thursday at $25,000. Lowther has been in Westmoreland County jail since June 26.
Drug arrest: Eric Harvey Wilson, 62, of 420 Weiss St., Donora, was arrested Thursday night by Donora police on charges of possession of crack cocaine, resisting arrest, hindering apprehension, tampering with evidence and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in the 200 block of Allen Avenue. Police said they had to stop him from swallowing a bag of suspected heroin. He also allegedly was in possession of crack. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Charges filed: David Allen Emery Jr., 35, of 1113 Water St., Brownsville, is charged by state police with accidents involving damage to a vehicle and driving with a suspended license over accusations he ran away after his vehicle struck an oncoming vehicle about 3:30 p.m. June 23 on Route 88 on Elco Hill, court records show. The other driver, John Defranco, was treated for injuries at Mon Valley Hospital. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case in a summons Thursday.
Pavilion damaged: State police are looking for information about who set fire to a plastic garbage can adjacent to a pavilion Tuesday at Ellsworth Park. The fire did minor damage to a support post. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
Hit-and-run crash: McDonald police are looking for information about the driver of a silver pickup truck that struck a vehicle Monday night in the lot of Stephenson Equipment on Noblestown Road. The truck, which had rust around the rear passenger wheel well, fled west on Noblestown. Police said the occupants of the truck were aware they hit the other car. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-926-2105.
Theft charge: Stefanie A. Lenhart, 27, of 317 Hunting Creek Road, North Strabane, was charged Wednesday by North Strabane police with theft and driving under suspension after she allegedly stole $208.69 and two packs of cigarettes June 18 from TJ’s Deli Mart, 2601 Washington Road. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Drug charges: Keilan L. Johnson, 22, of 145 McVey St., Sturgeon, will be arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of paraphernalia stemming from an Oct. 23 traffic stop. He is in Washington County jail on other charges and a Butler County bench warrant.
Daughter charged: Lily Kathryn Russell, 19, of 167 E. Edgewood Drive, McMurray, was arrested Thursday by Peters police on a charge of simple assault for allegedly scratching her mother several times during a confrontation the previous day. She was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
Two charged: Michelle Kuhns, 23, and Jonathion Kuhns, 39, both of Whitney, Westmoreland County, were charged by South Strabane police in connection with a June 29 theft at Kohl’s, Strabane Square. He is charged with retail theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing three pairs of shorts from the store. She is charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and conspiracy for allegedly returning the stolen items. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Robert Hartwell, 55, of Pittsburgh, is charged with retail theft for allegedly stealing items valued at $250 from Ralph Lauren Polo, Tanger Outlets, June 25. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault charge: Garrett Kelley, 40, of 3500 Kelley Lane, Finleyville, was charged Thursday by South Strabane police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly punching a woman in the eye during a confrontation July 1 at the Hampton Inn, 119 Murtland Ave. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Strangulation arrest: Kenneth Edward Lucas, 47, of Pittsburgh, was arrested Thursday by Monongahela police after he allegedly assaulted and choked a woman in a home on Parkvue Drive, Union, while a child was present. He also allegedly had drug paraphernalia near the child. Lucas was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of strangulation, simple assault and endangering the welfare of children. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Drug arrest: Earle Clifford Williams, 32, of 129 Church St., Washington, was arrested Thursday night by a detective with the Washington County Drug Task Force stemming from an incident at 82 ½ Seminole Ave. Detectives served a search warrant at the home. Police said they found him with suspected cocaine and $1,942. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Purse stolen: Debra Brezinski of Washington told Washington police Thursday her purse containing credit cards and a cellphone were stolen from an employee room at Foodland, 575 Henderson Ave.
Money stolen: Gary Sanders of 65 Campbell St. told Washington police Thursday $150 was stolen from a dresser drawer in his apartment.
Window broken: Vandals broke a window Thursday at Hair & There salon, 980 Chartiers St., Washington police said.
