A Donora man was arrested on drug charges by Washington County sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly was found with 10 pounds of suspected marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.

Damond Gregory Goggins, 43, of 209 Hesler Ave., Donora, is charged with nine counts each of possession and possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Deputies and Donora police stopped Goggins at 12th Street and Meldon Avenue for having a suspended license.

Goggins gave deputies permission to search the car. During the search, deputies said they found a black plastic bag in the trunk that held nine vacuum-sealed bags of suspected marijuana weighing almost 10 pounds.

Goggins was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled for a June 8 preliminary hearing before District Judge Larry Hopkins.
