Man fatally wounded inside overturned Pittsburgh vehicle

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A Pittsburgh man found critically wounded in his overturned sport-utility vehicle has died, and police have been searching for whoever shot him.
The Allegheny County medical examiner has identified the victim as 48-year-old Dedric Ellis.
Officers found him with at least one gunshot wound when they responded to the crash about 12:20 a.m. Friday. Ellis died a short time later at Allegheny General Hospital.
The medical examiner didn’t immediately rule whether Ellis died from the gunshot wound or crash injuries.
Police were continuing to investigate whether his shooting was related to another hours earlier in the same neighborhood, Marshall-Shadeland. A man was shot in the arm about 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the other incident.
