Action: The board of supervisors approved an agreement with Canon-McMillan School District to provide police protection and security services for the high school through the 2021-22 school year. The township will provide a school resource officer, Eric Spicer, for $60,000 the first year, with a three percent increase every year after.

At the request of the school district, supervisors reduced building permit fees related to the Canon-McMillan High School renovation project from $92,000 to $50,000. Code enforcement officer Doug Trbovich said the amount will cover the township’s expenses.

The board approved the promotion of Richard Yosi to assistant fire chief, and Christopher Chiprich and Glen Eger to fire captains.

Plans for a new municipal facility and a public safety building were discussed. Manager Frank Siffrinn said the building facilities committee hopes to finalize location and designs to present to supervisors in July. The project will be financed by extending a current bond issue that was used in 2012 for construction of the municipal park.
