Father, son arrested: Johnnie Wayne Allen, 66, and Johnnie Wayne Allen Jr., 46, both of 101 Shipe Run Road, Amwell, were arrested Wednesday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment after allegedly assaulting each other during an argument at their home. Both were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released after posting $2,500 unsecured bond.
Two charged: Dustin Lee, 19, of 207 Center Ave., Burgettstown, and John Cherok, 58, of 1617 Main St., Burgettstown, were charged by McDonald police stemming from an incident Tuesday at Cherok’s home. Lee is charged with harassment and defiant trespass. Cherok is charged with harassment and disorderly conduct.
Charged in crash: Laurenzio Calin, 25, of California, was charged by California police with leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving and other traffic violations after he allegedly crashed into a parked vehicle May 23 in the 200 block of Pennsylvania Avenue.
House burglarized: Ryan Taylor of 201 Elm St. told Canonsburg police Wednesday that $600, jewelry, the contents of a broken piggy bank and his stepson’s wallet were stolen during a burglary of his home. He also said his toolbox had been gone through, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Strangulation arrest: John Albert Work, 47, of 921 Wayne St., Canton, was arrested Wednesday night by state police on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly put his hands around a 49-year-old man’s neck during a confrontation at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond.
DUI alleged in crash: Amanda Greineisen, 36, of 336 N. Cherry Ave., will be charged by Chartiers police with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash after a hit-and-run accident early Wednesday near her home.
Man injured: Ryan Doughty of 805 W. Grant St. was injured Tuesday when he reportedly crashed his Mongoose pedacycle near his home. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.
Vehicle rolls: Rocco Malarbi Jr., 28, of Scenery Hill escaped injury Wednesday night when he swerved his sport utility vehicle to avoid a deer in the 100 block of Main Street, Ellsworth, state police said. His vehicle went up an embankment and struck a vehicle driven by Juanita Rozik, 53, of Ellsworth, before going down an embankment and rolling on its roof, police said.
Warrant obtained: Tori A. Scaff, 40, of 336 Valley St., McDonald, is wanted on a warrant obtained by McDonald police charging her with two counts of theft and access device fraud and one count of possession of paraphernalia. She is accused of taking a McDonald man’s debit card and using it without his permission. If anyone knows her whereabouts, they are asked to call McDonald police at 724-926-2105.
Warrant arrest: William Matthew Oravetz, 32, of 103 W. Lincoln St., McDonald, faces several charges after he allegedly bit a McDonald police officer as he was being taken into custody Wednesday afternoon on a probation warrant. Police said Oravetz also struggled with officers as they tried to arrest him. He was placed in Washington County Jail on the warrant. He will be charged with assault, public drunkenness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Trespass charge: Lee Thomas Masko, 27, of 363 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald, will be charged by McDonald police with defiant trespass after he allegedly entered a home at 139 S. McDonald St. without permission Monday.
Assault arrest: Casey Dean Lawhead, 37, of 207 Front St., Midway, was arrested Wednesday by McDonald police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend at their home. Lawhead was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
One injured: Brian McWilliams, 48, of 57 Laurel Ave., Washington, was injured Wednesday afternoon when the vehicle in which he was a passenger was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the 2000 block of southbound Route 19. North Strabane police said a vehicle driven by Marissa Civitate, 18, of 1005 Highland Drive, Canonsburg, struck a vehicle driven by Renee McWilliams, 49, of 57 Laurel. Brian McWilliams was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Motorcyclist injured: Dustin Brooks, 25, of Washington, was injured Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle crashed on Park Avenue near Old Post Road, South Franklin, state police said. He was riding north when his motorcycle slid on debris and struck a guardrail. There was no indication if he was taken to a hospital.
Disorderly charge: Michelle Sweeney, 31, of 490 Glenn St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with disorderly conduct after she allegedly created a disturbance and yelled profanities in the emergency room of Washington Hospital Wednesday. When police arrived to remove her, she allegedly threatened to kill them, tried to hit them and then tried to bite one officer.
Gun stolen: Peter Dixon of the 900 block of Addison Street told Washington police Wednesday that his 9mm Taurus pistol was stolen from his home.
Saw stolen: An employee of Northern Pipeline told Washington police Wednesday that a Stihl quicksaw was stolen from a work site in the 1200 block of Summerlea Avenue.
