Resisting arrest: Bridget R. Higginbotham, 27, of 259 Grant St., Nemacolin, was charged by Cumberland Township police with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she was allegedly kicked out of Wanna B Park in Carmichaels for being intoxicated Saturday. Police said lifeguards at the park asked police to remove her because she appeared to be intoxicated and was using obscene language near children about 5:30 p.m. When police attempted to arrest her, Higginbotham allegedly pulled her arms away.

Simple assault: Amy Penich, 34, of 115 E. First Ave., Crucible, was charged by Cumberland Township police with simple assault and harassment after she allegedly fought with her daughter Saturday morning. Police said Penich and her daughter, Ashlyn, argued and Penich threw her on the ground multiple times and struck her in the face. Ashlyn was taken by ambulance to a hospital for evaluation.

Crash: Police responded to a 3:30 a.m. Saturday crash on Creek Hill Road in Dunkard Township, where a vehicle went off the road and struck an embankment. The driver, Lenora J. Crow, 36, of Bobtown, was taken by ambulance to WHS-Greene hospital for minor injuries, police said. Charges against Crow are pending test results.
