Police Beat June 6

Harassment: Michael J. Britton, 24, of Daisytown was cited for harassment Friday in connection with an argument he allegedly instigated at the Kwik Fill May 27. The citation was issued from District Judge Joshua Kanalis’ office.
Theft from vehicle: A Michigan woman reported $650 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle Saturday morning at Washington County Fairgrounds in Arden. She told Chartiers police the money was in a bank envelope in her purse inside the vehicle.
Missing tool: A woman told Chartiers police Saturday morning a blue Kobalt wheelbarrow was taken from her yard at 107 Pine Ave. overnight.
Identity theft: A Chartiers resident reported Thursday she was scammed scammed out of $3,000 by a person she met online, according to township police. She also reportedly sent the person copies of her driver’s license and passport.
Assault alleged: Nick Bell, 28, of 671 McMahon Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck Cydnee Robinson in the head at 310 Wright St. and various other locations in the Mon Valley, beginning about 8 p.m. May 29, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons.
Assault alleged: Justin Charles Green, 34, of 4473 Fifth St., Bethel Park, is charged by township police with aggravated assault, robbery, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief, court records show. He is accused of striking Nicholas Fincik several times in the head, causing him serious injuries, before stealing $200 from the victim about 2:30 a.m. May 25 at 814 Park Ave. in the township’s Lynnwood section. District Judge Charles Christner signed a warrant last week for Green’s arrest.
Woman charged: Victoria Lynn McBeth, 57, of 206 E. Donora Road, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with endangering the welfare of children and leaving a child unattended in a vehicle over allegations she left a toddler in her car for about 15 minutes while she shopped at a grocery store at 600 Plaza Drive about 8 p.m. May 29, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner issued the case last week in a summons.
Assault alleged: Sunita Kurian, 43, of 486 W. Spring Grove Boulevard, Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with strangulation, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Kurian of choking her husband, Bonny, biting his forearm and kicking him in the groin Sunday in their residence. She is free on $10,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Joseph R. DeMarchis.
Man jailed: Jonathan Allen Sabo, 46, of 1007 Monongahela St., Rostraver Township, is charged by township police with simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Sabo of striking a woman in the hand, head and legs about 11:50 p.m. Friday at his residence. He is in Westmoreland County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph R. DeMarchis.
Man charged: Brennan Robert Breakwell, 25, of 1193 State Road, Monessen, is charged by township police with public drunkenness, possession of drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and reckless endangerment, court records show. Police accuse Breakwell of overdosing on heroin in a rest room at a Denny’s, 855 Rostraver Road, and then dropping a syringe on a sidewalk and hiding other heroin paraphernalia under bushes after learning police were en route to the restaurant about 7 p.m. May 25. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the case in a summons last week.
Assault alleged: Samuel Stone Heaton, 21, of 224 Main St., Fayette City, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck Victoria Frantz in the head and then pushed her to the floor about 12:40 a.m. Thursday, court records show. He is free on $5,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.
Gun fired: Nigel Alexan Askerneese, 24, of 1213 Upper Crest Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with reckless endangerment over allegations he fired a shot from a high-powered rifle between two buildings at Rostraver Apartments on Matthews Road about 5:20 p.m. May 25, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the case in a summons.
Car stolen: Township police said a red 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was reported stolen Sunday from 340 Wilbert Ave. after it was last driven about 11 p.m. the day before.
