Warrant arrest: Jeremy John Giovanardi, 38, whose last known address was Park Street, California, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin. He is accused of selling heroin to a confidential informant July 21, 2011, in a parking lot off Fifth Street. He was placed in Washington County jail on $150,000 bond.

Strangulation, assault charges: Donald William Adams, 47, of 427 Blue Jay Drive, Canonsburg, was charged last week by Canonsburg police with strangulation and simple assault after he allegedly assaulted a woman and started to choke her in an apartment on Highfield Street on May 21. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DUI, drug charges: Jesse Noble, 24, of 159 Smith St., Canonsburg, was charged last week by Canonsburg police with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from a May 14 traffic stop on Hutchinson Avenue. His blood-alcohol level was almost twice the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Endangerment charges: Michael J. Steele, 48, of 230 Charles St., Canton, was charged last week by state police with endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest and public drunkenness after he allegedly walked with a boy along railroad tracks April 23. He told police they were walking to a store to purchase alcohol. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Assault arrest: George Clayton Cramer Jr., 28, of 99 Vesta Drive, Brownsville, was arrested Tuesday by Centerville police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted his wife in the parking lot of Centerville Clinic, 1070 Old National Pike. He was arraigned on the charges before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond. State police also charged him with disorderly conduct for allegedly firing shots into the ground at a home on Emery Road, Fredericktown, Sunday. That charge will be sent by summons from Kanalis’ office.

Driver charged: Amanda R. Greineisen, 36, of 336 N. Cherry St., Chartiers, was charged Monday by township police with driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of a crash after a May 31 hit-and run crash near her home. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Jewelry stolen: David Anthony Scott, 33, who is living in a halfway house in Butler, is charged by state police with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse Scott of stealing gold and diamond jewelry from a woman he was staying with on Patricia Street between April 15 and 17 and selling the items to a pawn shop for $2,015. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant Tuesday for Scott’s arrest.

Tavern cited: The operator of Lenhart’s Tavern, 90 N. Route 88, was cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling on the premises April 25.

Heroin charges: Michael Standard, 26, of Braddock, Allegheny County, was charged Wednesday with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police stopped a vehicle in which Standard was a passenger the day before. As police were searching the car, a witness told police Standard had thrown items from a car window before the car was pulled over. Searching the area indicated by the witness, an officer allegedly found four loose bundles – each of 10 stamp bags of suspected heroin – in a plastic baggie and a brick of 50 stamp bags, also containing suspected heroin, wrapped in magazine paper. Standard, who police said was wanted for a state parole violation, is being held in Westmoreland County jail on $50,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Drug charges: Arthur O. Simpson Sr., 50, of 637 10th St., Monessen, was charged Wednesday with possesion of heroin with intent to distribute and possession of heroin. A state parole agent requested assistance from Monessen police after taking Simpson into custody outside his home Tuesday. The agent told police he saw Simpson allegedly leave his house as an undentified male approached, but Simpson waved the other man away when he spotted the agent. A brick of suspected heroin allegedly fell out of one of Simpson’s front pockets when the agent had him turn them inside out. He is being held in Westmoreland County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Joseph Dalfonso.

Restaurant cited: The owner of Angelo’s II, 111 Third St., Monongahela, was cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allowing gambling April 25.

Gambling charge: The operators of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1049, 793 E. Main St., were cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allowing gambling April 25.

Assault, disorderly arrest: Charles Ray Thurmond Jr., 37, of Connellsville, was arrested Tuesday night by Monongahela police on charges of simple assault, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the throat and dragged her through a yard during a confrontation at a home on Main Street, New Eagle. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Drug case: Marshall Tucker Lambert, 24, of 15 Coal St., Dunlevy, is charged by borough police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer discovered five stamp bags of heroin in a cigarette pack in his pocket about 5:30 p.m. May 22 in the 30 block of Fayette Street, court records allege. District Judge Charles Christner issued the charges in a summons last week.

Club cited: The Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement issued a citation Wednesday to the operators of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 553 in Strabane for allegedly allowing illegal gambling there April 25.

Inn cited: The operator of Pancake Inn, 1727 E. Maiden St., South Strabane, was cited Wednesday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly allowing gambling on the property April 25.

Items damaged: South Strabane police were called Tuesday to Target, Strabane Square, for a report of juveniles opening packages inside the store. A skateboard also was damaged, police said.

Driver to be charged: Jessica Fluharty, 42, of 690 Buena Vista St., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, leaving the scene of a crash, possession of a controlled substance and driving without insurance after she allegedly hit two parked vehicles in the 800 block of Addison Street Monday. She told police she thought she hit a curb.

Window broken: Jocelyn Miller of Washington told Washington police Monday the rear window of her vehicle was broken while it was parked in the 600 block of Hoge Alley. Charges are pending against a suspect.

Woman assaulted: Laura Vincenti, 41, told Washington police early Wednesday she was assaulted by a man at her Locust Avenue home. Charges are pending against her alleged attacker.

Man charged: Merle E. Galentine, 37, of 2490 S Bridge Road, South Franklin Township, is charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver over allegations he had a bag of fake crack when officers were summoned about 2:50 p.m. May 7 to a disturbance in the 400 block of North Main Street, court records allege. District Judge Robert Redlinger issued the case this week in a summons.
