Threats arrest: Joshua Bruce Edwards, 40, of 131 Locust St., Muse, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on a warrant obtained by Canonsburg police charging him with terroristic threats and harassment. He is accused of leaving his former sister-in-law a voicemail May 22 threatening to kill her and her fiance. He also allegedly sent threatening text messages. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

Drug charge: Joseph Scott, 31, of Ambridge, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge David Mark on a charge of possession with intent to deliver heroin. He is accused of selling a bundle of the drug to a state police confidential informant April 7, 2016, in a parking lot off Greenside Avenue, Canonsburg. Mark set bond at $25,000 on Scott, who has been in Washington County jail on unrelated charges since last month.

Driver charged: Jessica Karen Newman, 29, of 1651 Weirich Ave., Canton, was charged Wednesday by state police with possession of paraphernalia, driving under the influence of a controlled substance and traffic violations stemming from a May 25 traffic stop by state police in the 2200 block of West Chestnut Street, Canton. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Woman arraigned: Tanisha Johnson, 22, whose last-known address was Henderson Avenue, Washington, was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge David Mark on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver filed against her by state police. She is accused of selling 10 stamp bags of heroin to a confidential informant last August in the 100 block of West Wylie Avenue, Canton. She was released on $25,000 unsecured bond.

Vehicle accident: Richard Brezenski, 68, of Washington, suffered minor injuries when another vehicle shattered the side window on his vehicle about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Jefferson Avenue near Jasper Avenue, state police said. The other motorist did not stop, police said.

PFA arrest: Michael Paul Thornton, 41, of 3042 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park, was arrested Wednesday night by North Franklin police on a charge of violating a protection from abuse order after he allegedly got into a physical confrontation with his estranged girlfriend at her Cleveland Road home. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Wires downed: Dennis Jones, 841 Pleasant Hills Drive, told South Strabane township police that the service line to his home was pulled down and his house damaged when wires were pulled down by a Waste Management garbage truck while it backed down the street Thursday morning.

Harassment charge: Diana Bratcher, 48, of 450 W. Chestnut St., will be charged with harassment for allegedly punching Velora Phillips, 57, in the back during a confrontation at their home early Friday, Washington police said.

Concession burglary: The concession stand at Bronco Field, Washington Park, was burglarized, Washington police said. Three propane tanks, candy, ice cream and $10 were stolen in the break-in discovered Thursday.

Drug charge: James V. Fidazzo, III, 34, of 47 Chestnut St., Ellsworth, faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after he was found passed out in the drive-thru at McDonald’s, 999 Jefferson Ave., Thursday. Police said he had three empty stamp bags of heroin.

Garage painted: Christina Barnes, 800 N. Main St., told Washington police Thursday that vandals sprayed paint on her garage.
