The preliminary hearing for a former Canton Township man accused of strangling his pregnant wife and pointing a loaded handgun at her last month during a domestic dispute inside a Chartiers Township motel room was continued after the prosecution filed more charges against him, including attempted homicide of an unborn child.

Glenn Allen Dillon, 39, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, simple assault and reckless endangerment. The prosecution also added charges of strangulation, aggravated assault of an unborn child and firearms not to be carried without a license. A charge of person not to possess a firearm was withdrawn by the prosecution.

Dillon, who is in Washington County jail on $1 million bond, told District Judge David Mark he will no longer live at the Bench Avenue address with his wife and her family and instead gave an address in Tionesta. As 28-year-old Jenee Dillon was leaving the courtroom, she passed her husband, who spoke to her. Assistant District Attorney Kristin Clingerman warned neither he nor his family is to have contact with Jenee Dillon or her family. Clingerman said she had been contacted and was sent letters asking her to drop the charges against Dillon.

“Any future contact will be investigated and prosecuted,” Clingerman warned.

Defense attorney Guiseppe Rosselli told Mark that Dillon and his family were advised not to have any further contact.

Chartiers police were called May 27 after Jenee Dillon got her husband to drive her to MedExpress in South Strabane Township. She told a MedExpress employee what happened and South Strabane police responded, taking Glenn Dillon into custody. He was turned over to Chartiers police after it was determined the incident happened at the Microtel motel on Racetrack Road.

Jenee Dillon told Sgt. Michael Filosi the two rented a room the previous night. She told the detective her husband would not let her leave and took her cellphone. Dillon allegedly put his hands around her neck before pointing a loaded 9 mm Taurus at her head, telling her he would kill her and then himself. He also reportedly punched her in the head.

The hearing has been rescheduled for June 28 before Mark.
