Monongahela police charged three women last week with prostitution and other offenses after an officer allegedly found they were advertising their services on different websites earlier this month.

Charged with prostitution, criminal use of a communications facility and disorderly conduct were Tasha Marie Robinson, 25, of Butler; Jada Lashaw Jones, 21, of McKeesport; and Aria N. Risebeck, 22, of East Liverpool, Ohio. Robinson and Risebeck also are charged with possessing instruments of a crime.

The officer reportedly found the advertisements and initiated a conversation with the women in text messages. After discussing a rate for the services, the officer arranged a location and time where he would meet the women, police said. He met all three at different locations in Union Township.

Another officer came as backup, and the women were taken into custody after they reportedly accepted money.

Police said Risebeck, who also is charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, told officers that she turned to prostitution because she was pressed for money and unable to secure employment or pay her bills.

Robinson was arraigned last week before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond. She is scheduled for a hearing before Ellis on Tuesday. Risebeck and Jones were charged by summons and are scheduled for July 11 hearings before Ellis.
