SAYLORSBURG (AP) — State police are trying to figure out how a 4-year-old Pennsylvania boy got ahold of a gun before fatally shooting himself in the face.

Troopers in Monroe County haven’t charged anyone in Sunday’s death of Bentley Thomas Koch.

Police say the boy apparently shot himself shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday in a home in Chestnuthill Township.

The district attorney is also investigating.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday.
